Hope INLD supports NDA presidential nominee Kovind: Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday expressed hope that the main Opposition in the state Assembly INLD will support NDA nominee Ram Nath Kovind for the post of President.                       

Khattar told media persons that the INLD had been once been a part of NDA.

“I am sure the INLD will not support the Congress-led UPA nominee,” he said.                         

Khattar, who arrived here to be part of NDA leaders accompanying Kovind, who filed his nominations papers, extolled him as a person of high integrity.                       

The NDA nominee is a leader of high stature and merit.

He cited JD (U), which is part of UPA, breaking ranks and extending support to Kovind’s candidature.                       

He said it is not an issue of Dalit versus Dalit contest when pointed that Kovind and UPA nominee Meira Kumar are from the same community.                         

“Merit will win and the NDA nominee will win with handsome margin,” Khattar said.
