Karnal man kills self

A 44-year-old dairy owner has committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance. He consumed poison on Thursday and died at a private hospital on Friday. The deceased was identified as Sanjeev Sharma of Sham Nagar.

He left a suicide note, citing harassment at the hands of a financier and others. The police registered a case against financier Renu Lather, Deepak and three others on the statement of the deceased’s wife Neeraj Sharma.

Neeraj said her husband had taken a loan of Rs 5 lakh from Lather. She said he used to pay instalments and had transferred a plot of around 200 yards on the name of the financier, yet he was being harassed.
