Prohibitory orders imposed in Kaithal

KAITHAL: District Magistrate Sunita Verma has prohibited the assembly of five or more persons in all parts of the district except specified places and sale of loose petroleum products except to vehicles under Section 144 of the CrPC.



Kaithal: District Magistrate Sunita Verma has prohibited the assembly of five or more persons in all parts of the district except specified places and sale of loose petroleum products except to vehicles under Section 144 of the CrPC. Under the orders, assembly of five or more persons near passages, railway tracks, water channels and power houses, blocking of roads, indulging in unlawful activities, carrying any weapon like firearms, swords, knives, lathis and other weapons of offence have been prohibited. All licence holders in the district under the Arms Act, 1959, have been directed to deposit their firearms and ammunition with their respective police stations or the nearest firearms dealers by August 23. The orders have been issued to maintain peace and tranquility on account of the decision in the Dera Sacha Sauda chief’s case by the CBI court in Panchkula expected on August 25. OC
