Hisar: Thousands of tonnes of wheat stored in the open in the Bhiwani grain market got soaked on Monday. Mukesh Kumar, an inspector with the Food and Civil Supplies Department, however, claimed the wheat stock remained undamaged. “A majority of the stock is covered with tarpaulin. Only one side of the wheat stock is uncovered. Besides, the town recorded drizzle and not a heavy downpour which could have damaged the stock,” he said. In Hisar, drizzle brought respite to people from hot and humid conditions. TNS
