Yamunanagar, September 12

A woman allegedly killed her husband in Bilaspur town of Yamunanagar district on Thursday following a quarrel.

The deceased has been identified as Ravi Sharma (31) of Jagadhri, but he, along with his wife Sapna and two children — Kritika (5) and Yuvraj (3) — had been living in Bilaspur town for the past six months. He worked as a salesman at a cloth house (shop) in Bilaspur.

On the complaint of deceased’s father Vinod Kumar, a case was registered against Sapna under Section 302 (murder) today.

The complainant said Sapna had informed them today morning that a quarrel had taken place between the two of them over some issue. She said she pushed Ravi to the ground following which he fell unconscious.

“When we reached their house, Ravi was lying dead on the floor. There was an injury mark on his head,” the complainant said.

He alleged that Ravi had not died by being pushed to the ground, but he had been attacked with some sharp weapon by his wife.

“Sapna used to remain busy on her mobile phone most of the times. Ravi used to stop her from doing so,” said the complainant.
