Each youth club to plant 500 saplings

SHIMLA: Youngsters can bring about a change as they play a major role in economic development and technological innovation.



Shimla, November 17

Youngsters can bring about a change as they play a major role in economic development and technological innovation. This was stated by Sports Minister Govind Singh Thakur at the Youth Advisory Committee meeting here on Saturday.

“There are 5,000 youth clubs of Nehru Yuva Kendra and 3,000 youth clubs of the Sports Department in the state. These will be associated with forestry activities next year,” Thakur said. The target would beto plant around 40 lakh saplings, for which every youth club would be given 500 saplings. — TNS
