JAMMU: The Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir Front today demanded implementation and final settlement of relief component announced by the Central government.

The Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir Front today demanded implementation and final settlement of relief component announced by the Central government.

The front has warned of starting an agitation if the Centre and state government continue to discriminate against them.

Protesters said then PMAtal Bihari Vajpayee had sanctioned Rs 112 crore in 2000 for the rehabilitation of the refugees from Mirpur, Bhimber, Kotli, Deva, Watala, Chamb, Nah, Manawar and Muzaffarabad after 1947 when Pakistan occupied a part of J&K, but its implementation had not yet been completed.

“The then Provincial Rehabilitation Officer, Jammu, started the process of implementation of one out of the four components. However, the process was begun without a mandatory notification,” alleged Chib. — TNS
