Jalandhar: Mechanical (2ndshift ) and Pharmacy Department of Mehr Chand Polytechnic College, Jalandhar, captured jointly Lala Mehr Chand Best Department Trophy-2018.Every year, this award is given on the basis of excellent performance of students of the Deptt.



Jalandhar: Mechanical (2ndshift ) and Pharmacy Department of Mehr Chand Polytechnic College, Jalandhar, captured jointly Lala Mehr Chand Best Department Trophy-2018.Every year, this award is given on the basis of excellent performance of students of the Deptt. in Academic, Placement, Sports, Research and special activities etc. Principal Dr. JagroopSingh presented this award to Heads of the Departments – Gaurav Sharma and Dr. Sanjay Bansal and staff. A special award was also presented to the Mechanical Engineering Department, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering - all 1st shift, for their excellent performance during the year. Principal Dr. Jagroop Singh informed these kind of awards create a self-confidence amongst staff and students and also make the competition encouraging. This award established by the DAV Management is awarded every year to one department for their excellent performance, in which a trophy and a cash prize is given. 

Cosmetology workshop

Jalandhar: Department of Cosmetology of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar organised a one-day workshop on Hair Rebounding by Shoaib and Narinder Kumar (hair experts) from Milano Beauty Academy, Jalandhar. Shoaib gave a live demonstration oAn chemical treatments, procedures involved in Rebonding and its pros and cons. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Kiran Arora laid considerable emphasis on such practical activities as a new means of enhancing the skills of the young learner as well as in shaping of their holistic personality.TNS

3rd Punjab State Karate C’ship

Jalandhar: IVY World School under the aegis of Vasal Educational Society has always taken steps for a holistic development of the students. Keeping a pace with the thought, students participated in the 3rd Punjab State Karate Championship 2018 in Amritsar. The students brought laurels for the school with Master Paarth Rati bagged the second position in under 10 Category and Master Harmandeep Singh bagged the third position in under 11 Category. The Principal Sanjeev Chauhan appreciated the students for their efforts and wished them luck for future endeavours. TNS
