For majority of the girls who are fashion freak keeping a track of new fashion buzz becomes a difficult task as every day one or the other celebrity or star kids keep blowing our minds with their trendy looks.

With fashion trends changing almost every season, the boring woolen cardigans, leather jackets no longer attracts youth. This winter what’s thronging in the wardrobes of many girls is drop shoulder crop hoodies, contrast lined faux fur hood coats, the three in one double button mock poncho shawl cum coat, warm long shrugs and frayed denim jeans.

Besides, newly-arrived trendy slogan print sweatshirts, pocket front velvet coat and denim jackets have attracted many.

“Whosoever has said a girl can never have enough clothes is undoubtedly true. Although my wardrobe is full of new collection which includes crop hoodie definitely, I still spend around 30 minutes staring at my collection every morning before I go to college in figuring out what to wear,” said Archana, a student of Apeejay College.

“Clothes these days are your style statement, either you want or not but you have to be fashionable to match surroundings,” she added.

Ashnoor Kaur, a Class XII student said, “I have recently ordered a denim jacket and long woollen shrug from an online website, as I saw many TV celebrities wearing the same,” she said.

Anita Suri, the owner of fashion store said, “This season what’s catching the fancy of the youngsters is fur coats, sweatshirts and yes crop hoodies. Most of my customers, who are students or professionals, have decided to go for ponchos and fancy shrugs. The demand for traditional wear like simple jackets or cardigans is falling with time.”

In bottom wear, in summers as well in winters too the demand for the short-ankled and frayed denim jeans remained popular among both girls and boys.

“As its cold outside, you cannot wrap yourself with shawl and sweaters and move out. People these days are worry about their social life and whats to look the best”, said, Harleen Kaur, a teacher.

“This season, I feel the trend of plain jacket in bold and quirky patterns is getting popular among boys. Also, adding to this trend of wearing Oxford shoes without socks with folded jeans is becoming a rage among youth because of the classy look. Stylish bunnies are also finding many takers. It elevates your outlook to another level,” shares Karan, a salesman.
