They met at Box Cricket League, became friends and love wasn’t far away. A year later, they made their relationship official with engagement and they have been happily married for 10 months. Punjabi actor-singer Yuvraj Hans and TV actress Mansi Sharma are head over heels in love with each other and believe in being expressive about it. We will soon see their real chemistry on reel with Parinday in which the two have been paired as the lead couple. 

Yuvraj has been busy recording his four singles, which he will come out with very soon. Then there is Yaar Anmulle Returns and Nanak Naam Jahaaz Hai, the movies that are keeping him busy and away from his beloved. While the two have had a long-distance relationship during courtship and even now sometimes have to live in different states, not an hour passes when they do not call or message each other. This inseparable jodi shares their love story with us.

BCL, the cupid

Yuvraj: We met in 2016. It was at the BCL in Mumbai. I was there as a celebrity participant. Mansi was a part of the team. We were practicing. Without hi or hello, I just went up to her and asked for the keys; she felt I was a saru but truth is I am a reserved person. That was the first impression. Within 10 days we fell in love.

Mansi: While practising, we didn’t talk to each other. But at the end of the season, we started talking and then we became friends. And finally, love happened.

Getting hitched

Yuvraj: When we started dating, say on the 16th day, I told her I can’t get married. We lived together and things just changed, so, when dad asked us to get engaged in 2017, I had no reason to say no. I only take a decision when I am 100 per cent sure. When I got to know her, I made up my mind that she is the one. February 21 of this year was the D-Day.

Mansi: When we started dating, we both were not sure about our future. Maybe also because we stayed away for work so often, but exactly nine months into our relationship, we decided to get engaged. 

Friends for life

Yuvraj: Life hasn’t changed at all. It’s all fun. We live like friends. Mansi and I are from the same field. She knows the pros and cons of the profession. It’s all very nice and comfortable.

Mansi: For me, it’s so much more romantic. He has become more responsible, caring and is a loving husband.  

Living it up!

Yuvraj: Like I told you, we had a live-in relationship, so there are many benefits—clothes get washed on time, everything is in order. On a serious note, she is a cleanliness freak. She has an OCD of keeping things in order, clean, which initially was a task for me, but thankfully I got used to it much before marriage. 

Mansi: Living together is amazing... I realised is has made our bond so much stronger. With each day, we are getting closer to each other.

Together means

Yuvraj: Drives, movies, watching TV soaps, that’s our way of spending time together. We are big time foodies. We do lot of experimentation with our food; she makes me order new and different things each time. In fact, she willingly turned into a vegetarian after wedding. 

Mansi: Free time means watching movies, decorating home, going gadget shopping, and, of course, gymming. 

Let’s bring a change

Yuvraj: She thinks a lot, takes too much stress. I want her to take it easy, not be impatient. 

Mansi: Ummm…nothing. I love him the way he is. 

When it gets annoying

Yuvraj: Her OCD for cleanliness. It’s so extreme that she cannot even sit in an auto because she thinks it isn’t clean. 

Mansi: I get irritated when he gives attention to Coco.

Couple goals…

Yuvraj: It is to be friends forever. There is everything, life has been good. I believe in destiny, so all I want for us is to stay happy as friends.

Mansi: Be loyal and trust each other.

I feel wow about

Yuvraj: She is very honest and innocent; sometimes I tell her to be diplomatic.

Mansi: His honesty.

Both: Trust is the main thing. You don’t find a good person every day, so treasure when you get them.
