Civil Hospital prepares 109 MLRs of fights

LUDHIANA: As many as 109 medical legal reports (MLRs) were prepared at the Civil Hospital.

As many as 109 medical legal reports (MLRs) were prepared at the Civil Hospital. All the cases related to fights and scuffles during Holi celebrations. These MLRs are likely to be converted into FIRs as the police have started investigation into all the cases.

Sources said the Civil Hospital authorities had already made arrangements of additional staff as cases of fight and altercation increased during Holi celebrations.

For emergency assistance, two doctors, three staff nurses and one pharmacist was deployed at the hospital to deal with such cases, the sources added.

As per the sources, these medical examinations were conducted on the night of March 21 and in the morning on March 22. All the medical reports were sent to police stations concerned by the hospital. “Once the report reach respective police stations, FIRs are likely to be registered in all the cases,” the sources added.

The sources maintained that in many cases, fights and altercations took place between family members and friends while they were celebrating Holi.
