Malwa Central College bags overall trophy

LUDHIANA: The Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana bagged the overall trophy in the Panjab University Zonal Youth & Heritage festival (Zone B) organised by Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial College of Education.

Ludhiana, October 18

The Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana bagged the  overall trophy in the Panjab University Zonal Youth & Heritage festival  (Zone B) organised by Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial College of Education. 

As many as 107 students participated in  various cultural and heritage programmes. The college bagged the first prize in debate, second prize in poem recitation, essay writing, Punjabi handwriting and elocution.

The  college stood first in heritage items, including paranda making, khiddo making, peerhi making, crochet work, embroidery bagh; the college bagged  second prize in the heritage quiz, ‘gudian patole’, naala-making, ennu-making; and third prize in tokri-making, mehandi, ‘mitti de khiddone’ and tokri-making.

 Principal Naginder Kaur appreciated the efforts of Dr  Nerotma Sharma, all in-charges who prepared various items and students  for their excellent performance. — TNS
