KHANNA: The Khanna police claimed to have arrested a truck driver who has concocted the story of theft of his loaded truck.

The Khanna police claimed to have arrested a truck driver who has concocted the story of theft of his loaded truck.

The driver has been identified as Pappu, a resident of Moga. Stating about it in a press conference, Khanna DSP Rajan Parminder Singh and Sadar Khanna SHO Baljinder Singh gave information that Pappu had informed the Khanna police on October 25 that his truck was stolen by some persons near Khanna and a case of theft was also registered in this regard.

The police team inquired about this matter and came to know that the truck driver himself had concocted the story of theft as the loan installments on the truck were pending and he wanted to save himself from fine.

A case had been registered in this regard and the truck has been recovered.
