Zila Parishad road in a shambles

LUDHIANA: Recently, the Supreme Court had expressed deep concerns over people losing lives due to road accidents and reprimanded the authorities concerned.

Ludhiana, December 9

Recently, the Supreme Court had expressed deep concerns over people losing lives due to road accidents and reprimanded the authorities concerned. However, the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation has yet not wakened up from deep slumber.

The Zila Parishad and Sadar Police Station Road have been crying for attention for past several months but the MC has failed to repair the roads full of potholes.

Arvind Kumar, a resident of Civil Lines said, “The civic body should get roads repaired. Before closing its hotmix plant for winter season, the MC must repair these roads.”

Navjot Singh, Superintending Engineer, MC, could not be contacted for his comments. TNS
