Kalyan Singh describes Ayodhya verdict as just

LUCKNOW: Describing the Ayodhya verdict as “just”, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh on Monday said the verdict had fulfilled his cherished dream for a grand temple in Ayodhya.

Lucknow, November 11

Describing the Ayodhya verdict as “just”, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh on Monday said the verdict had fulfilled his cherished dream for a grand temple in Ayodhya.

Singh, a prominent face of the Ayodhya movement and an accused in the criminal conspiracy case for demolishing the Babri Masjid, said there would not have been a better judgment as according to him it had satisfied every section as not a single voice had been raised against it.

“Everyone has welcomed and accepted the SC decision which is just and legal and all inclusive. It has put an end to a 500-year-old dispute,” he claimed. “Now it is the job of the government to form a trust and start the construction of the Ram temple,” he said.

Incidentally, Kalyan Singh was the Chief Minister of UP when the Babri Masjid was demolished on December 6, 1992. — TNS
