With the water shortage emerging as the top issue before the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday told the party MPs to find solution to the crisis and come up with at least one innovative idea for his or her constituency.

The party leaders who attended the weekly parliamentary party meeting of the BJP in Parliament House said Modi told the MPs to find solutions, “think something innovative”, for implementation in their respective constituencies to improve the situation there.

The PM asked MPs to involve themselves in social work and come up with “innovative ideas” working with the district administration.

Everyone should come up with one idea on water and others issues, the leaders said.

In the last meeting, he had told MPs to walk 150 km to bring to people the message of the party and Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary and also plant at least five trees in various booths across their respective constituencies.
