Three killed while making bombs in Malda

MALDA, (WB): Three people were killed and four others injured while they were allegedly making bombs in a house at Jaunpur in this district today, ahead of last phase of polling on May 5 in the state.

Three people were killed and four others injured while they were allegedly making bombs in a house at Jaunpur in this district today, ahead of last phase of polling on May 5 in the state.

The incident occurred when bombs were being made in the house of one Giasu Seikh in the area bordering Bangladesh at about 1 am, Superintendent of Police Syed Waqar Raza said.

Three people died instantly, he said, adding that "local rowdies" were involved in the incident. Giasu was absconding.

 Polling was held in the district on April 17. — PTI
