Ganges Works Conference.

WE understand from a Hardwar message that His Honour the Lieutenant-Governor's Conference with several Princes and All-India Hindu Sabha representatives is proceeding satisfactorily. Their Highness the Maharajas of Jaipur, Gwalior, Bikaner, Alwar, Patiala and Benares are taking a keen interest. From British India, the Maharaja of Kassimbazar came from Calcutta, Maharaja of Darbhanga from Bankipur, the Hon'ble Madan Mohan Malaviya from Nagpur, the Hon'ble Raja Rampal Singh, Pundit Dev Ratan from Lucknow, Hon’ble Sukhbir Sinha from Muzzaffarnagar, Rai Panna Lal from Ambala, Dr. Paras Ram from Ferozpur, Rai Hari Chand from Multan, Hon’ble Rai Ram Saran Das from Lahore, were present, besides the local Pandas. The proceedings are reported to have been remarkable for unanimity, earnestness of Hindu demand regarding the prayer for an unfettered natural flow of Gangaji which the present canal works interfere with.
