10-foot-long python rescued from Chandigarh's Lake Club

Chandigarh: A team of the UT Forest Department rescued a nearly 10-foot-long python from Lake Club here on Wednesday. Dr Abdul Qayum, Deputy Conservator of Forests, UT, said they received a call on their helpline about the presence of a python at Lake Club. A team of experts was dispatched to the spot, he said, adding that the python was rescued within half an hour and released in the nearby Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary. The girth of the python was around two feet, he added. TNS
