CHANDIGARH: An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI), posted at Patiala, was caught while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from Rahul Kumar, a resident of Manakpur village, near Banur, an official press release said here today.

An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI), posted at Patiala, was caught while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from Rahul Kumar, a resident of Manakpur village, near Banur, an official press release said here today. Rahul Kumar had filed a complaint with the Vigilance Bureau that ASI Jagir Singh, posted at the Tripari police station in Patiala, was demanding Rs 20,000 to release his vehicle confiscated in an excise case. The ASI was caught red-handed with Rs 10,000.
