Six more persons succumbed to Covid-19, taking the district toll to 259 today.

Civil Surgeon Dr Jasjit Kaur said five men, aged 59, 65 and 48 (all of Pinjore), 72 (Barwala) and 55 (Rajiv Colony), and a 59-year-old woman of Sector 20 died due to the disease.

Meanwhile, 472 persons were diagnosed with the deadly virus, taking the tally to 25,769. Among the new cases, 11 each were reported from Barwala, Sector 10, 11, 12-A and 17, 12 from Sector 4 and 27, 13 from Sector 6, 14 from Sector 25, 15 from Sector 7, 20 each from Sector 15, 21 and 26, 21 from Sector 9 and 12, 22 from Kalka and 35 from Sector 20. — TNS
