Barricading on the Chandigarh-Ambala national highway near Jharmari barrier is being removed now.

The Haryana side has intimated the Mohali police that the barricading and obstructions will be removed completely in a day or two.

Concrete mix with iron spikes was laid on the national highway near the Punjab-Haryana border to stop the farmers’ march to Delhi on February 12. Earthmovers and heavy machinery had been pressed into action, officials said.

Telephone and Internet services around Lalru have been patchy since then.
