Ambala, January 23
With the Northern Railway running Aastha special trains for Ayodhya over the next few days, nine such trains will pass through the Ambala Cantonment railway station. The Northern Railway has reportedly issued a schedule of 17 Aastha special trains for Ayodhya.
Sources said the trains starting from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Major Captain Tushar Mahajan Station, Jammu Tawi, Amb Andaura, Pathankot, Una (Himachal) and Amritsar would make a halt at the Ambala Cantonment railway station on way to Ayodhya.
A majority of these trains will have one-trip journey and these will run on different dates between January 29 and February 9. Of the nine trains, two from the Amb Andaura station and one from Una (Himachal) will originate from the Ambala division.
A railway official said, “Three Aastha trains will originate from the Ambala division. These will halt at the Chandigarh and Ambala Cantonment railway stations.”
