Gurugram, July 23

A 17-year-old girl was killed in a lightning strike in Salamba village of Nuh district today when she was in fields. Police handed over the body to kin after the post mortem and probe is on.

The deceased girl has been identified as Gulsfa, a resident of Salamba village. She was a student of Class 12.

As today was school holiday, she was going with her mother to the fields to bring cattle feed. Police said she was hit by lightning and died on the spot. Victim's father Sher Mohammad said she was the most promising among his nine children.
