Mandi, January 19

The Kullu police arrested a Nigerian national for drug peddling from Delhi yesterday, who was supplying heroin in Kullu district. Accused Kenneth (28), a native of Uli City Lagos state in Nigeria, was found involved in drug trade in the district.

The police had arrested Shubham (23), a native of Kullu under the NDPS Act on January 13, who later disclosed about the drug trade connection of the Nigerian resident in Kullu district. The Kullu police yesterday nabbed the accused in Delhi and brought him to Kullu to produce him in the court.

Kullu SP Gaurav Singh said the police had already arrested five foreigners for drug trade connections in Kullu district. The SP said it was an effort to end the drug menace from Kullu and nab the main suppliers to keep a check on the trade.
