BKU (Sidhupur) blocks highway, seeks release of YouTuber Bhana Sidhu

Extending support to a blogger and YouTuber, Bhana Sidhu, who was arrested by the police recently, members of the BKU (Sidhupur) staged a protest by blocking the Chandigarh-Ludhiana highway near Samrala on Saturday. Union members were demanding the immediate release of Sidhu. Traffic movement was affected during the protest.

The members of the BKU (Sidhupur) were on their way to Sangrur to protest for the release of the YouTuber but they were allegedly stopped by the police near Samrala. Various organisations had announced to gherao the Chief Minister’s residence in Sangrur today.

During the protest, the protesting members raised slogans against the state government, demanding the release of Sidhu.

They alleged that Bhana Sidhu is being implicated in false cases. Another member of the union said they would continue their protest if their demands were not met.

Farmers were going to sangrur to protest
