Payal, March 7

Prompt and coordinated efforts by passers-by and organisers of a shobha yatra prevented an accidental fire at a social media influencer’s shoe shop in Payal from spreading, on Friday afternoon.

The fire was reportedly caused due to celebratory fireworks burst by devotees who were accompanying a religious process.

No case was registered as no formal complaint was lodged by the owner of the shop, identified as social influencer Honey Sethi.

Anxiety struck the locality as news spread about the fire at the shop, ‘Sethi Shoes’, at the main market here in the afternoon.

However, prompt and coordinated efforts by the staff at the shop and passersby prevented the fire from spreading to nearby shops.

The loss caused by the fire was yet to be ascertained and no action was taken by the police as no formal complaint was lodged either by the owner or the staff at the shop.
