Ludhiana: A medical store owner was booked for raping a married woman for five months. When she turned pregnant, she informed the police. The Moti Nagar police today registered a case of rape against the medical store owner, Sushil Kumar. He is yet to be arrested. Victim woman said a few months back she had suffered from severe stomach ache. She went to buy medicine from Sushil Medical Store. “Sushil Kumar produced a bill of Rs 10,000 but due to my poor financial condition, I was unable to pay the bill. Sushil Kumar, expressing sympathy with me, asked me to visit his home as some injections were lying at home. When I went to his home, Sushil Kumar administrated an injection to me. I become semi-conscious. Sushil Kumar raped me and also made a video of it,” alleged the woman. Sushil Kumar then started blackmailing her with the video and continuously raped her for five months. Recently when she turned pregnant and informed Sushil Kumar, he expressed interest to develop sexual relationship with her daughter. The woman said today she filed a complaint, following which the case was registered. TNS

Four kidnapped girls rescued

Ludhiana: The city police rescued four minor girls who were kidnapped by some persons on the pretext of marrying them. Rupinder Kaur Sra, Additional DCP-IV, said the girls were kidnapped by some persons either for marriage or for some unknown motives. Sra said three minor girls were kidnapped in October, while one in September. Cases were registered at the Focal Point police station. When the girls were rescued and kidnappers arrested, girls were handed over to their families. TNS
