Ludhiana, June 21

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Ludhiana, celebrated International Yoga Day by organising a virtual Yoga session for the well-being of industry members here today.

With the restrictions on the movement of people amid the Covid-19 crisis, this year’s observance of International Day of Yoga aimed at highlighting the health-building and stress-relieving aspects of Yoga. In the new scenario, the Ministry of AYUSH is also promoting the theme “Yoga at Home, Yoga with Family” in its International Day of Yoga activities.

Amit Juneja, Chairman, CII, Ludhiana, said: “Today people across the world are worried about the Covid- 19 crisis. Yoga is especially relevant now as its practice leads to both physical and mental wellbeing. In these difficult times, Yoga can have a positive impact on general health and boost immunity. It also act as a stress buster. In respect to that, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has organised this Yoga session for our Ludhiana industry leaders for their wellbeing.”

Yogi Sanjeev Tyagi, Master Trainer, Everest Yoga Institute, conducted a virtual Yoga session on the occasion. During the session, he emphasised on different Yoga techniques for maintaining good health and encouraged CII members to perform Yoga from their houses.
