DC reviews working of employment bureau

Deputy Commissioner Varinder Sharma today reviewed the working of the District Bureau of Employment & Enterprises (DBEE), Ludhiana, during a meeting at the DBEE office near Partap Chowk, here. He was also accompanied by DBEE CEO-cum-ADC (Development) Amrit Singh, Jagraon ADC Neeru Katyal Gupta, besides several others.

In the meeting, Sharma said: “The Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission is the flagship programme of the Punjab Government. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the District Bureau of Employment & Enterprises (DBEE), Ludhiana, has turned around its working towards digital era.”

‘Provide jobs to unemployed youth’

He urged the DBEE officials to work hard to provide employment to a maximum number of unemployed youth of the district under the Mission Fateh of the Punjab Government. He said Ludhiana being an industrial city had huge employment potential. He said to help the industrialists in post-lockdown time, the DBEE officials should also help in providing skilled labour to the industry.
