Ludhiana, October 12
A seminar was organised by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited in association with Fastener Manufacturers’ Association of India on the theme ‘Optimum utilisation of petroleum products’. HPCL, a Government of India undertaking, was invited to deliberate and suggest the association ways to conserve petroleum products.
The programme was formally inaugurated by the dignitaries of HPCL and FMAI followed by presentations and discussions by HPCL about improving productivity, minimising wastages and improving profitability.
R Sudheendranath, executive director, HPCL, was the chief guest. Sudheendranath cited how global oil scenario was going to impact the Indian manufacturing industry. He discussed how important it was to judiciously utilise petroleum products, so as to significantly reduce our carbon footprint.
The seminar was attended by more than 150 fastener manufacturers of Ludhiana. The president and general secretary of the association spoke about the difficulties faced by their industry and appreciated the support offered by Hindustan Petroleum. — TNS
