Ludhiana, March 1
A total of 25 farmers from Ferozepur district visited the Skill Development Centre at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) under the stewardship of Dr MS Bhullar, Director of Extension Education, today. The visit was coordinated by Dr GS Makkar, Director of the Farm Advisory Service Centre at Ferozepur.
Dr Rupinder Kaur, Associate Director (Skill Development), said the aim of the visit was to promote entrepreneurship and turn farmers into successful entrepreneurs.
Explaining the agri-business model, Dr Ramandeep Singh, Director, School of Business Studies, urged the farmers to launch startups by seeking financial assistance from the Punjab Agri-Business Incubator at PAU. Dr Prerna Kapila apprised the farmers about the series of training courses conducted by the Centre for the Economic Sustainability of the Rural Community.
