Ludhiana, August 20

The work of releasing 200 cusecs fresh water will be started in the Buddha Nullah through the Neelon drain of the Sirhind canal on Sunday.

Ministers Bharat Bhushan Ashu and Sukhbinder Sarkaria would kick-start the work. Ashu said the work was part of the state government’’s ambitious Rs 650-crore Budha Dariya rejuvenation project. — TNS
