An upcoming cricketer from Ludhiana, Adhiraj Singh Mangat, has been selected for training at the prestigious MRF Pace Foundation, Chennai, that is scheduled to commence on March 11.

A letter from M Senthilnathan, chief coach, MRF Pace Foundation, to the secretary, Punjab Cricket Association, Mohali, read that Adhiraj, a pace bowler, has been selected as a ‘full time trainee’ for advanced training in Chennai.

A resident of Country Homes near South City here, the 16-year-old Adhiraj is the son of noted veterinary doctor Ajay Pal Singh Mangat and educationist Kitty Mangat.

Adhiraj is a student of Class X at Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar.

An elated Ajay Pal Singh said it is a matter of pride that Adhiraj would attend coaching under Glenn McGrath, director of coaching (bowling) at MRF Pace Foundation.
