Ludhiana, June 18
An employee of the Municipal Corporation was allegedly thrashed by a resident when he went to deliver the water supply and sewerage bill to the latter in the Kundanpuri area here yesterday.
Ashwani Sahota, Chairman of Municipal Employees Sangharsh Committee, said: “Parmod Kumar had gone to deliver the bills in the area. When he knocked the door of a house on Wednesday, a youngster came out and started beating him. We have lodged a complaint with the police seeking an FIR against the suspect.”
