Spring Dale Play School celebrates Baisakhi

Students of Spring Dale celebrate Baisakhi in Ludhiana.



Ludhiana: Baisakhi, the festival of harvesting, was celebrated with fervour at Spring Dale Play School, GK Estate, on Monday. Students came dressed in Punjabi attire and mesmerised everyone present with their folk song. Children also tapped their feet and expressed their ecstasy by dancing on beats of the drum. School chairperson Avinash Kaur Walia wished all students Happy Baisakhi and appreciated them for their performance. Students were also apprised about the importance of the festival of harvest. TNS

Nankana Sahib Public School

Ludhiana: Students of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Road, excelled in APEX, an inter-school competition organised by Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College to mark its founder’s day. Harmeet Kaur Waraich, school Principal said, 20 schools participated in different events. Jashandeep Singh of Class XII (Arts) won the second prize out of 12 teams in the Sufi song competition. Triptjeet Kaur and Harkirat Singh of Class X bagged third prize in technovation and presentation out of 13 teams. Gurnoor Kaur, Bhavika and Jeewani competed in GK quiz and succeeded in clearing the first round and qualified for the final round. The principal congratulated the achievers. TNS

Jesus Sacred Heart School

Ludhiana: Jesus Sacred Heart School celebrated its founder’s day on Monday. A special assembly was organised on the occasion in which students of Class X highlighted the progress of the school. Children demonstrated how academics, co-curricular, sports, ethics and value system of the school nurtured them to become responsible citizens. Students also planted a sapling as a mark of growth and prosperity. Meanwhile, the kindergarten section celebrated its graduation day. The school Principal congratulated students of the UKG on passing their exams and promotion to Class I. The Principal also wished lord’s glory for their future. TNS
