Chandigarh, January 26

Teargas shells used near Delhi's Akshardham temple to maintain peace as farmers barge in with their tractors. Farmers, however, were not lathi-charged as they try to break cemented barriers with tractors at Delhi's Mukarba Chowk. A youth participant in the tractor parade was seen getting on to the crane deployed by the Delhi Police to stop the traffic inflow towards Delhi. He used the crane to yank concrete barriers as well as the metal ones to make way for the tractors.
