Patiala, January 18
A cultural evening was organised at Patiala Media Club on Friday. Famous flute player Dr Mujtaba Hussain and his team performed at this musical event. The evening began with recitation of ‘shabad’ followed by performance by Dr Hussain.
Dance performances by Jaijeet Kaur and Shubhjeet Kaur enthraled the audience.
Ghanour MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur honoured the artistes. The MLA also donated Rs 21,000 to the club on the occasion. Lauding media and its role, he said media is an important pillar of democracy which raises voice of a common man. He was presented a token by club members led by president Gurpreet Singh Chattha, senior vice president Manish Sirhindi, cashier Navdeep Dhingra, among others. — TNS
