Chandigarh, January 18
Thrashing a passenger travelling in a train without ticket landed a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) in trouble, as he faced suspension for his terrible act.
A video of the incident going viral on social media platforms showed a TTE, claimed to be on the Barauni-Lucknow Express, drubbing a passenger who was travelling without a ticket.
Meanwhile, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also reacted to the incident, stating ‘zero tolerance for such misconduct’.

According to railway officials, the incident occurred on Thursday when Barauni-Lucknow Express was travelling between Gonda and Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh.
The person shooting the video was also heard questioning the railways official for his act, who tried to snatch the former’s mobile phone.

However, taking cognisance of the incident, the Divisional Railways Manager of Lucknow Division, North Eastern Railway suspended the TTE by initiating an inquiry against him.
