Karnal, October 8

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday urged people of Karnal to stand by justice and fight against injustice. He was chairing a Dussehra programme in Sector 4 ground.

The effigies of Ravana (75 feet tall), Meghnad (65 feet tall) and Kumbhakarna (65 feet tall) were burnt by pressing a button from the stage.

As per the organisers, they used eco-friendly crackers in the effigies. With the pressing of button by the Chief Minister, the sky was lit with fireworks. The head of Ravana rotated and spit fire. — TNS
