Amritsar, November 15

To improve communication skills of students studying at government schools, the state Education Department is providing them with free-of-cost audio-visual material. Students are being provided with practice sheets in audio-visual mode for classes. Class VIII to XII students are being given these sheets. Students are required to solve given practice sheet once audio is played.

Students will also be evaluated on the basis of their performance in their annual examination. The district Shiksha Sudhar teams will keep a check on these activities. Earlier too, the district Education Department had asked teachers to communicate with students in all languages, particularly English. Students were also encouraged to speak in the morning assemblies and stage play among other activities for language improvement.
