Loan waiver certificates distributed

AMRITSAR: Raj Kumar Verka, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Amritsar west constituency, distributed loan waiver certificates among 28 farmers during an event at Gumanpura village here on Saturday.

Raj Kumar Verka, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Amritsar west constituency, distributed loan waiver certificates among 28 farmers during an event at Gumanpura village here on Saturday. Verka said loan worth Rs 17.49 lakh of these farmers was waived. Earlier, loans to the tune of Rs 22.38 lakh were waived for 69 farmers in the constituency, he said.

According to Raj Kumar Verka, 16,705 farmers from the district have been benefitted from the loan waiver policy of the state government. He also announced a grant worth Rs 15 lakh for school and Rs 10 lakh for sewerage lines in Gumanpura village.
