15 mobiles seized, three arrested

AMRITSAR: The Division B police station have arrested three persons and recovered as many as 15 mobile phones from their possession.

The Division B police station have arrested three persons and recovered as many as 15 mobile phones from their possession. Those arrested were identified as Daljit Singh alias  Raja,  son of Surinder Singh, a resident of East Mohan Nagar, Sajan Singh alias Jat, son of Amrik Singh, who resides as a tenant at Hira Singh Tent Wala main bazaar colony and Bahadur Singh alias Sunny, son of Roop Lal of Noushiara  Siply in Hoshiarpur. He now resides at near Sunny Di Shop, Guru Arjan Dev Nagar, Amritsar, on Tarn Taran road here.

A case under Sections 379 and 411 of the IPC has been registered against them while the police hope of more recoveries during their interrogation. 

Assistant Commissioner of Police (East) Parbhjot Singh Virk said the accused used to steal the mobile phones from tourists and devotees coming to pay obeisance at Golden Temple and Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Deep Singh. They were  arrested following a tip-off.
