Adverse effects of air pollution highlighted

AMRITSAR: With a live musical concert to create awareness about the rising air pollution, ‘The campaign Play for a Cause’ hosted artiste Malkeet at Clubhouse on Friday night.

Amritsar, November 29

With a live musical concert to create awareness about the rising air pollution, ‘The campaign Play for a Cause’ hosted artiste Malkeet at Clubhouse on Friday night.

“The campaign throws attention on several topics that otherwise remain oblivious to most. We, as collaborators, have thrown incentives on food and beverages for the guests so that maximum participation happens and donations contributed during the concert will be collected and channelised towards local NGO’s working in the field of environment to combat air pollution,” said Prabal Talwar, owner, Clubhouse.

Musicians and bands like Parikrama, Delhi Indie Project, Indus Creed, The Local Train, Usha Uthup, Hari Sukhmani and AnkurTewari are performing across Delhi, Mumbai, Bhubhneshawar and other prominent cities to create awareness about various issues.

The issues adopted under the campaign are air and water pollution; dying hills, saving traditional arts and crafts, oceans, plantation and wild life, meals for underprivileged, one-time plastic use and rain water harvesting. — TNS
