AMRITSAR: In the Amritsar Premier League, a cricket tournament organised by Amandeep Cricket Academy here on Tuesday, the team of Haryana Cricket Academy defeated KICC Gurugram by three wickets.

In the Amritsar Premier League, a cricket tournament organised by Amandeep Cricket Academy here on Tuesday, the team of Haryana Cricket Academy defeated KICC Gurugram by three wickets.

The HCA team won the toss and elected to bowl first. The KICC team could score just 101 runs in 20 overs with a loss of eight wickets, which included 57 runs of Ravi Inder Singh. Sanjay Pahal of HCA took three wickets in four overs by giving just 22 runs.

In response, HCA scored the required runs in just 18.1 overs and won the match by three wickets. Harshit Kaushik of HCA was announced man of the match as he scored 36 runs and took one wicket in four overs by giving 17 runs.

The second match was played between host ACA (Amandeep Cricket Academy) and Ajit Memorial Cricket Club, Gurugram.

The ACA team won the toss and elected to bat first. The team scored 164 runs in 20 overs with the help of fabulous batting of captain Sharad Loomba (73 runs) and Ankit Dabas (37 runs) with four wickets in hand.

In response, Ajit Memorial’s team lost its four opening batsmen quickly but after that there was a storm of middle order batsmen.

Sahil Dutta contributed 49 runs in 39 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes. Aasif Khan of the team scored 40 runs in just 19 balls with the help of one four and five sixes and Deepak Bansal scored 25 runs in 11 balls with one four and two sixes.

Ajit Memorial won the match by one wicket. Aasif Khan was declared man of the match, who scored valuable 40 runs in 19 balls.

The event was presided over by Kapurthala Deputy Commissioner DPS Kharbanda, Dr Avtar Singh and Tony Bhalla.
