Cong will win Gurdaspur LS bypoll , says Sidhu

AMRITSAR: The Local Bodies Minister, Navjot Singh Sidhu, said the Congress would win the by-elections for the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat with the highest margin.

The Local Bodies Minister, Navjot Singh Sidhu, said the Congress would win the by-elections for the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat with the highest margin.

He further said it would elevate Rahul Gandhi as president of the Congress party. He said this while visiting Muddal village, situated on the city’s outskirts, in his constituency. He handed over the cheques of grants to the Panchayat for the development of the village.

He said the people of the country were not happy with the policies of the NDA government and would show the door in the next general elections.

He also informed that a new cable policy would be unveiled in the next cabinet meeting to be held on October 16. He assured that people would get connections at low rates besides no cable operator could ban any channel.

He also said the Capt Amarinder Singh-led- government would soon unmask the perpetrators behind the Bargarhi and Behbal Kalan incidents.

He released a grant of Rs three crore for the development of Muddal village to develop it as a model village.
