Flesh trade racket busted, 7 arrested

AMRITSAR: The Beas police have arrested eight persons, including owner of a hotel near Rayya on Amritsar-Jalandhar highway and his manager for allegedly running a flesh trade racket. The police booked three couples, who were found in an objectionable positions, under Sections of Immoral Trafficking Act.

The Beas police have arrested eight persons, including owner of a hotel near Rayya on Amritsar-Jalandhar highway and his manager for allegedly running a flesh trade racket. The police booked three couples, who were found in an objectionable positions, under Sections of Immoral Trafficking Act.

Those arrested include Manjitpal Singh, owner, Kanwarpreet Singh, manager, Ramanand Singh, Randhawa, Jainder Singh besides three women. They were sent to judicial custody after producing before the court. Sandeep Singh son of Manjitpal Singh, who was also booked in the case was absconding.

SSP (Rural) Parampal Singh said the police received a tip-off that the owner and his manager were indulging in flesh trading. DSP (Baba Bakala) Lakhwinder Singh said a case under Sections 3, 4, 5 of Immoral Trafficking Act was registered at Beas police station in this connection.—TNS
