Fraudster withdraws Rs15 lakh from bank

TARN TARAN: A fraudster withdrew over Rs 15,05,900 from the account of one Tarsem Singh.



Tarn Taran, June 19

A fraudster withdrew over Rs 15,05,900 from the account of one Tarsem Singh. The accused has been identified as Gurdeep Singh, a resident of Amritsar. Tarsem found the amount missing from his account with ICICI Bank. The victim brought it into the notice of bank in-charge Jasmeet Singh Walia, who informed the police about it.

The economic offences wing investigated the case and found the involvement of Gurdeep Singh. In another case, Karamjit Kaur, a resident of Patti, accused a man of fraudulently swapping her ATM card with his and withdrawing Rs 3,000 on June 15 and 16. Identified as Inderjit Singh, he has been booked. The police are hunting for the suspects. — OC
