Amritsar, December 7

With the initiative of MLA (North) Sunil Kumar Dutti, the Public Works Department (PWD) has removed grills from the BRTS lane near Joshi Colony.

The objective of the move was to provide a diversion on Mall Road.

Following heavy rain and waterlogging, a large portion of the Mall Road had caved in on September 23. The road was blocked after the incident.

MLA Dutti intervened in the matter and asked Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB) officials to break the BRTS grills to provide a diversion. On Thursday, the grills were removed with ditch machines. The commuters got respite with the move of the department.
