Amritsar, May 26
A minor girl of Dalla Rajputa village has been raped by a youth of same village. The victim lodged a police complaint against Bittu Singh on Friday.
The victim stated to the police that she had a love affair with the accused for the past two years. He developed physical relations with her promising to marry her. He entered her house at around 1 am on Wednesday and told her that he was no more interested to have a relationship with her, she said.
The police said he gave her some medicines to her which she consumed. After her condition deteriorated, she was rushed to a local clinic where she underwent treatment.
The police said raids were on to nab the accused who had been on the run. — TNS
